Jacquelyn Gernaey is CEO and founder of HyTech Consulting, a management-consulting firm based on Long Island, NY and founded in 1994. She has more than thirty years’ experience leading both entrepreneurial and large corporations and now focuses on analysis and development of business owners and attorneys.
In 1999 Gernaey founded The Alternative Board (TAB) on Long Island. She was the first woman to purchase a franchise in The Alternative Board. She facilitates three board of director meetings and mentors the TAB facilitator/coaching team.
In 2012 Gernaey was appointed an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Bringing the principles of Quality Management to closely held private companies and the development of the leaders of these businesses is her personal goal.
Prior to HyTech, she was the first woman to be promoted to Division President of American Home Products, a then $8.5 billion corporation. The $25 million division had 200 employees on Long Island. She also served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development for United Biomedical, Inc. a vaccine, therapeutics and diagnostics company and acted as General Manager for their Diagnostics Division. She has also been affiliated with several other companies including American Hospital Supply Corporation and Baxter Healthcare Corporation in sales and marketing management.
